No. Continue to follow the manufacturer’s directions for cleaning your product. Sanitizers do not remove dead skin, oil, makeup or other organic materials.
It is recommended for the greatest results for the equipment to be dry.
Yes there can be a slight smell to using any sanitizing product. To reduce and eliminate any smells make sure the mask is clean of any debris before sanitizing. If a smell continues, wash the mask with a cleaner such as a perfume free soap and set machine to Sanitize and Smart Dry application to remove smell.
Some CPAP manufacturers are now excluding warranty coverage if a CPAP has been used with an Ozone device. Stating a void to the internal electronics of the unit. The FDA is also recommending not using ozone due to respiratory issues.
